Why You Shouldn't Leave Your Art Out In The Open

My brother has this picture he worked really hard on and was super proud of; he left it on the kitchen counter and it got hamburger grease on it. He then moved it to the kitchen table where it got knocked to the floor and one of the dogs peed on it. He's super upset right now. This is why I never leave my art out in the open; I keep it tucked away in a notebook if it's in progress or my portfolio if it's finished to keep it safe.
